V\u00e5rbrodd \u00e4r ett slags gr\u00e4s som en kan hitta lite \u00f6verallt i \u00f6ppen mark. Det som framf\u00f6r allt k\u00e4nnetecknar det h\u00e4r gr\u00e4set \u00e4r dess doft. Det doftar helt fantastiskt gott! Som kola! Arten kallas ibland ocks\u00e5 kolagr\u00e4s. Om en\u00a0\u00e4r os\u00e4ker s\u00e5 kan en\u00a0smaka, det smakar n\u00e4mligen lika gott som det doftar. Som kola, vanilj, kanel och bittermandel p\u00e5 samma g\u00e5ng. Doften och smaken kommer av en organisk\u00a0f\u00f6rening som heter\u00a0kumarin. Samma \u00e4mne ger ocks\u00e5 kanel dess karakteristiska, lite runda, smak. I stora m\u00e4ngder \u00e4r kumarin giftigt, men det kr\u00e4vs att en s\u00e4tter i sig v\u00e4\u00e4\u00e4ldigt mycket gr\u00e4s f\u00f6r att en ska bli sjuk.<\/p>\n<p>Jag hittade gr\u00e4set i en beteshage i Uppland, men har tidigare bl.a. funnit det vid en v\u00e4gkant mitt i Kista. Det v\u00e4xer i tuvor och bladen \u00e4r ljust gr\u00f6na. Det var p\u00e5 riktigt den godaste glassen jag har \u00e4tit p\u00e5 evigheter!\u00a0Nu m\u00e5ste alla plocka v\u00e5rbrodd och \u00e4ta v\u00e5rbroddsglass! St\u00e4ll kastrullen \u00e5t sidan och l\u00e5t gr\u00e4set dra i den varma mj\u00f6lken i ca 15 minuter. Sila bort gr\u00e4set och r\u00f6r ner socker och \u00e4gg i mj\u00f6lken. Sjud blandningen under omr\u00f6rning tills den tjocknar (den ska vara ungef\u00e4r som fil). Kyl snabbt ned kastrullen, vattenbad funkar utm\u00e4rkt. R\u00f6r hela tiden om s\u00e5 att inte kr\u00e4men sk\u00e4r sig. St\u00e4ll in kr\u00e4men i kylen n\u00e4r den \u00e4r ljummen och l\u00e5t kallna helt. Vispa gr\u00e4dden och r\u00f6r ner i den kalla kr\u00e4men. H\u00e4ll inneh\u00e5llet i en form och st\u00e4ll i frysen ca 5 timmar. R\u00f6r om d\u00e5 och d\u00e5 f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra att iskristaller bildas.
