Nu är Fashion UP! över och vi har så mycket spännande att berätta om hela modefestivalen. Vi är oerhört tacksamma och glada över den support vi har fått och över alla människor som besökte Fashion UP! En av huvudaktiviteterna under modefestivalen var designtävlingen. Totalt valdes 12 st deltagare ut för att vara med och designa och sy en outfit utifrån temat Pure Construction. Deltagarna som valdes ut hade skickat in imponerande ansökningar där de tolkade temat på sitt sätt och dessutom fick skicka in bilder på tidigare plagg som de skapat. Väl på plats hade designerna totalt 20 timmar på sig att designa en outfit helt i återbruksmaterial. Det mesta av materialet var insamlat från Emmaus och vi valde ut färger som vitt och pasteller som gick i linje med temat. WOW säger vi, resultatet blev helt fantastiskt och alla outfits såg tillsammans ut som en enhetlig kollektion. Vi hoppas att detta ska ge inspiration till andra designers och att fler ska ta vara på allt fint material som redan cirkulerar i samhället.
